[TR] Synchro rings

I just pulled the TR3 box apart and I found that my fourth gear synchro ring 
is worn all the way down.  The other two look brand new.  I remember talk 
about some faulty rings in distribution and that one of the suppliers had known 
good rings but I forgot who that is.  Who was that?
