I'd have to dig for the transmission trade magazine that listed info the new 
CVT trans.  They are made by JATCO ( Japanese Automatic Transmission CO )  and 
are used on most anything that has a CVT these days.  ( maybe with Honda 
being the exception ) 

The Subaru Justy was the last US market car with CVT I know of.  I did read a 
snipet that some sort of 80's Euro market Volvo had a CVT.  Past that you 
would have to go back to a 50's 60's DAF ( Dutch car maker with some sort of 
Volvo connection )
