Then 'splain to me why some self serve washes have an engine cleaner
selection on the rotary switch? Of course it is the same chemical as the tire
cleaner
probably the presoak but never mind.
Every self serve bay has a grill and drain in the center. If the dirty job
is done on that grate then the mess is confined to that and that grate is under
the next car that comes in. And the next. And the next. In other words the
other customers don't see it. Contrast this with the four wheelers that come
in and cut the big chunks of mud off of their 4X4's and leave it all over the
walk spaces. Not a fair comparison.
Sure, every retailer would like to cherrypick his customers but that ain't
what "Open to the Public" means. That same backyard mechanic who cleans his
transmission off every five years is the same guy who washes his car (like
everyone else) every month or so. Piss him off and not only do you loose his
business but that of all his friends and coworkers. We aren't the worst of
your
worries. At least we don't stick the spray nozzle in the coin return in an
attempt to get a free carwash.
Guess I'm not taking my transmission to South Florida for cleaning.
