To just change the oil seal, you remove the halfshaft with the hub still 
installed on it (thereby avoiding the need for the special hub puller).  Look 
on the backside of the brake backing plate, you should see 6 bolt heads with 
locktabs.  Turn the tabs and remove the 6 bolts, then you should be able to 
pull the hub and halfshaft free from the housing.  Be careful and don't hit the 
brake backing plate with the shaft, as at this point it will be supported only 
by the brake line.  Also be sure to collect the shims under the bearing 
housing, as they are important.
