i'm not sure about $20, but an infra red temp gage is worth its weight in gold
(they are very light). should always have one as temp gages are notoriously
inaccurate. had a friend spend many $$ fixing "an overheating problem" that
was in fact the gage.
. sears sells a nice infrared
temp gauge for like $20. i like mine! point it at the input of the
radiator, then at the output of the radiator. you should see a nice temp
drop, else the radiator is not cooling.
