Agreed George. To use a larger O.D filler strip and no padding would make the
covered cappings wider at the top and taper in toward the bottom, and of course
all of us sidescreen guys know that the capping sides should be straight and
parallel.

I'd have to diasagree with the idea that the rubber piece by itself is
the same as the rubber piece and the cotton. the feel would be totally
different.
