No, I doubt they're keeping it secret. Personally, while I'm competent to
service any component on my Triumph, there are one or two elements I view as
safety-critical and brake calipers definitely come within that category.
While they are easy enough to fit with service exchange seals etc, I'd be
happier to shell out a lot of pounds for a guaranteed component from Girling
that I know has been crack and pressure tested with all the other cores
coming in for rebuild. This is what I did when rebuilding the PI and it
applied to all the hydraulic and steering parts and I was fortunate enough
to have some NOS stock from Unipart to get the job done.
