But AFAIK they never did explain why they didn't initially subject any other
vehicles to the test that the Suzuki Samurai flunked ... nor why when the Ford
Bronco flunked the exact same test, that the report was in small print on page
19, while the Suzuki Samurai report was in large print on the front cover. Nor
why the Bronco never was rated "not acceptable" while the Samurai was.

But they do take money from outside sources. Ok, I don't propose to reopen the
argument about whether the Ford Foundation tries to protect Ford Motor's
interests ... but Consumers Union is not being forthright about who they do and
do not take money from. What they print in their magazine leads people to
believe that they do not take money from ANY outside interest, but that is
simply not true.
