I rebuilt my TR3 carbs a few months back and found that I didn't have to
touch the carb bodies themselves. I didn't have bushings, just the aluminum
body, but we measured them and there was not problem - all the wear was in
the throttle shafts (around .011" or so) and was leaking air.
I rebuilt the carbs from a Moss kit and have been very happy with the
results. No more leaks, the carbs tune great and I didn't have to ream or
anything. Did put some Molybedum grease on the shafts though to help lube
them.
