Just do a proper rebuild on your steering box, it won't leak driveways or
anything else. I use Valvoline full synthetic 85W90 gear oil in mine. Putting
grease in there, even light grease, will cause increased steering effort in a
system that is already pretty stiff.

My steering box rebuild made such a huge difference in the way the car drove
that I repeatedly wondered why I hadn't done it years before ! Since I didn't
replace the rather tired worm, and the ball bearings were OK, my total cost was
well under $50. Better yet, with the later split column, you don't have to
remove the front apron. And, I'm now convinced that the only way to make the
adjustments accurately is with the box out of the car.

Before it was wrecked, I could literally change lanes on the freeway with only
thumb and forefinger. Parking still took some effort, but was reduced to a one
hand job instead of two. Pretty good for 8" wide tires !

IMO The reason early TRs have a reputation for steering like trucks is because
no one rebuilds and properly adjusts their steering box !
