I decided to change out the Stromberg's and try the SU's. Once mounted I
adjusted the jet nut down 8 flats I switched on the key and It fired
immediately. The engine seemed to have great power, however I think once I
find a better suited needle it will be even better. Since I want to drive
the car this weekend I swapped the carbs back to the original configuration,
because I do not have air cleaners to fit the HS6 carbs. I at least now
know that the carbs will work well, just need to find the best suited
needle. So I have a future project to tinker with.
Now that I have the timing and the cars set correctly the cars runs
wonderfully.
