Not hard at all but can be expensive if buying all new stuff.
See if one of your local bone yards has good used studs and nuts.
I converted going the other way, from wires to Panasports.
The fronts.
Remove the hub and disc assembly as though you were repacking the bearings
which while you are in there is a good thing to do at the same time. Remove
the brake disc from the hub. Knock out the long studs and replace with the
short studs.
The rears.
These can be knocked out with the hub and axle on the car. You must pull the
brake drum. Draw the new ones in using the new nuts.
Be careful and get the new studs started straight.
When knocking the longer studs out use a block against the stud and then rap
the block sharply. This should avoid mushrooming the stud ends.
Also be sure to buy the special nuts used for wire wheels. Do not use the
solid wheel nuts to hold the WW adapters onto the hubs. I would use the
solid wheel nuts to draw the WW studs initially into place however. Reverse
them for a good flat surface. I would do the final pull with the WW adapters
in place.
Write if you have any questions.

Subject: Wire wheel studs
> I am going to convert my 1971 TR6 to wire wheels. I am told the studs for
these are shorter and I will therefore need to change to shorter studs. How
difficult will it be to remove the existing studs?
