I had my Moto Lita hug off of my TR3A steering column twice yesterday as
I worked on my horn. I have never had the problem you are discussing.
I suspect there is something wrong you are not aware of yet. Perhaps
you were shipped the wrong hub.
I would not put any Loctite on the splines. In fact I use some never
sieze on the splines.
