I'm rebuilding a spare pair of H6 carbs as well. I have them disassembled
and I'm cleaning everything right now (and waiting on parts). I seem to
recall that the initial mixture setting should be 12 flats (but I may be
mistaken, and I'm curious what others have to say). The 1/4" jet movement
seems reasonable (based on my limited experience - that's about what mine
now on the car move); however, I think they should both lower about the same
distance. I don't know if 1/16" is unreasonable or not.
