That's true ... but I'm not sure Nylocs count as "fiber locking" since the
insert is nylon plastic, not fiber.  They're also not aviation grade, nor in
an aviation application.  Triumph said not to reuse them, and most
importantly (to me), I've had problems with reused ones backing off.

So you're welcome to reuse them if you want.  Personally I've already had
enough trouble with parts coming loose, I don't care to invite more.  If you
compare a new nyloc to a used one, it's easy to tell the difference in the
amount of torque it takes to turn them.

IMO nothing, except they're more expensive and in most applications, wasted.

It originally stood for Multiple Spark Discharge (ignition), but it's now
the name of a company that manufactures aftermarket ignition components
(primarily for racing).  They make an ignition module that may or may not
actually make the engine run better, but sure throws one whale of a spark !
