Hi,
I don't want to offend anyone, but, I've kinda thought, 'well, you know the
TR2-3 has a rather abrupt hind-quarter'. I mean, although the side profile of
the car is beautiful, the gentle sloping fall of the trunk lid halts and heads
straight for the bumper like a plumb bob.
Being someone who likes to experament, I've thought of temporaily redesigning
the back bumper to continue this side profile. I think I've seen it on a
Jaguar at the VTR in Richmond. I might have a picture of this car's tapered
back end.
Another car which attempts this, albeit choppy, is a 76-79 Corvette. Has
anyone ever seen such a rear bumper on a TR-3? Here is a picture of the
corvette bumper recently auctioned on Ebay:

And the complete car:

Does anyone have a pic of a TR that has been 'rear-end modified'?
Thanks,
