165/80-R13 rubs on GT6/spit?

Thanks for all the tire advice... a follow up question...

Can anyone confirm or deny that 165/80-R13 tires rub on a GT6 (mk3 if 
it matters) or spitfire with factory wheels?

A couple postings on triumphspitfire.com indcate that they do, but 
otherwise I like this size best. I will go with the 175/70 instead if 
they do indeed rub!
