Thanks Mitch. This is a great article. I am still coming to terms with it. When I rebuilt this car, to took out and put back in the engine/trans as a unit and had the body and engine bay painted. I really don't want to take the engine out again. I had think I had read long ago somewhere that the TR6 gearbox is difficult to remove on it's own because of clearances.
