Hmmm, ok running down the structure of the fuel lin system out loud (sort of speak): - hard line from the tank - about 12" from the tank a 3" soft line, fuel filter, 3" soft line - hard line to front of car - in engine bay, 3" soft line to hard line into pump - hard line to carbs I also think this happens more often when the tank is fuller, just filled the tank as I was leaving work and now I recall the last time the tank was nearly full as well.
