In the latest (June 2004) issue of "Car and Driver" there is an
article about the new Pontiac Solstice. One of the writers went to
England over the winter to drive the car. During the time there,
someone brought out a quartet of roadsters for comparison: A TR3A, a
TR4A, an MGB and a Lotus Elan. No mention is made about why, other
than to say that the new car should certainly have been better than a
40 year old car, nor is there any comparison discussed. There is a
shot of the British roadsters and two Pontiacs at what appears to be
the remains of the Brooklands circuit. The old cars look better to me
than the Pontiac, by far.
