There were no shims installed when I removed the disc calipers on my 1960 TR3A. In addition to derusting, painting and installing news seals, I wanted to address some binding in the left caliper. Could being off-center result in binding? Now that I'm armed with a selection of shims, what's the proper way to center the calipers over the rotor? I haven't found a procedure yet in my manuals. Most say to retain and replace the shims already in place. Many thanks! Bill Stagg 1960 TR3A |
