I was born in New Orleans, and grew up on the Miss. Coast, both of which
have the no-see-ums, but NEVER have I experienced bugs like that.  As best
as I can tell, someone must have ticked off the Prince of Darkness and he
sick'd a plague on us.  The slightly earlier time frame of the next
convention coupled with everyone pledging not to tick off the Prince should
ward off any future attacks.
