IMO ditch the spares and nothing will go wrong, the only time I ever had a
won't go any further breakdown was when I was carrying spares and tools and
the wrong spares at that!
Seriously how often is the car driven and what are the average breakdown
intervals?
This will give you an idea if you need spares for a 500 mile journey!
My car covers 12000 miles per year and last stuttered home about 3 years
ago. There has been the odd time when it let me know I shouldn't leave home!
I would not hesitate to do the 500 mile journey in mine right now unprepared
straight off no bits no tools (jack and spare only!).
