I have a 74 TR6 without overdrive, and from time to time see overdrive
tranmissions being offered on eBay. (There's one for sale now at

=2469118706). There's nothing wrong with my transmission now, but I think of
overdrive whenever I'm on the highway.
Are there any owners out there who have 'upgraded' from the 4 speed to
overdrive? Is it only worth doing when you need to replace the transmission
anyway? Or are there no longterm problems caused by cruising at highway
speeds with the regular transmission?
