speeding...or maybe not

Two summers ago I was given a ticket for going 35 on a 30 mile pere hour zone.
The officer said he had to give me a ticket because it was heavily settled.
Needless to say I was driving my TR6.  I was so angry I went back the next day
to start to get my "case" ready and found that the posted speed was 35.  Do
you think the car I was driving had anything to do with getting the ticket?
    P.S.  I beat the ticket.
