Thanks for all the replys. Most of you thought this was a red flag and I
agree. I decided to pass since I didnt get the time to inspect the car.
It may have been a good deal but I am going to wait for now.
I am really looking for a Spitfire. Always wanted one.
At this time in my life, what I want is a solid car but one that is in
need of restoration. A complete car but in need of some TLC. This is all
part of my plan for my retirement years.
What attracted me to the 6 was all the extra parts. One can never have
too many extra parts!!

Just to be clear, I was not commenting on police response time (or lack
thereof), only that the police do not come to your house to inspect cars.
Inspection for a new title or to clear a "fix it ticket" must be done by the
DMV, at their location, not yours.
Saying someone is injured when you know there isn't is called filing a false
police report. Judges take a very dim view of this ... not to mention
people that listen to rap music (which I think should be prima facie
evidence of brain damage, suitable for confinement to avoid injury to self
or others).
