I recently bought one of these. http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/ctaf/Displayitem.taf?itemnumber=46681 You don't say what gauge metal you're cutting, but if it's fairly thin sheet you could lay out your hole and start it with a holesaw then finish with the electric shear. Might come in handy for bodywork too....
