Hi Tom, The STC-65 stands for "Standsrd-Triumph Co - 1965" These were used by dealers to make there inventory in states that required a mfgs cerification of model year. Your car may have been in the late spring or summer of 1964 but was sold as new in dealer inventory in 1965. I had a STC-63 tag on my 62 TR4. Mine was built in October 1962. It was registerd in NY as a 1964 when I bought it. I registered in MA as a 1962. Brian Sanborn Groton, MA |
