I respectfully request that this discussion be terminated immediately.
I have seen this topic come up on other lists and the result is chaos, anger
and
acrimony.
My views on gun ownership/control are irrelevant to this list. So are yours. So
are everyone's.
I ask that you do not offer any opinions on this topic at all. It can do
nothing
but start a flame war that will hurt feelings and sunder relationships. This is
inevitable, as this topic is a deeply emotional hot button for many people.
If I am truly successful in my appeal, there will be no responses to this email
and the entire topic will die.
