Jim:

I have never replaced the rotoflex couplings on a GT6, but I have replaced
them on a 1966 Hillman Imp. The couplings for the Imp did, indeed, come
with a circumferential strap that held the bolt bushings at approximately
the right pitch circle diameter. Its best to install the couplings, or at
least get the bolts started, before you cut the strap, otherwise the
coupling expands radially and it really is a pain to install all the bolts.
I discovered this because I removed and replaced the couplings on my Imp
several times before I finally bought new ones and learned about the strap.

Maybe others on the list might have more pertinent experience than mine?
