I have a clutch problem that someone might be able to help me with. I have
replaced the exiting parts with anew Borg and Beck clutch ,new throw out
bearing ,new sleeve. New bushings in the cross shaft, new bushings in the fork
and when I depress the clutch just a little even in neutral I get a loud
clocking. I have since changed the throw out bearing sleeve and the clutch
pressure plate and no change. If the car is in gear with the clutch out there
is no clicking. I have now had the transmission in and out of the car 5 times
and I am getting good at it but I don'twant to do it any more. The car is a
1965 TR4A with overdrive. the clicking sound definetly is coming from the bell
housing and not the transmission. I have thought it out logically and asked
several shops and they have never heard the loud clicking in any of their
exploits. Any help will be much appreciated. Either contact me direct at
clarkja34@netscape.net or reply to the list.thanks Jim
