Thanks for the advice.
 
Since  I already have the radiator out, I am going to go ahead and take the 
timing cover off.
 
I had done this once a long time ago and remember not wanting to do it again.  
O well!
 
I remember getting the starter entension bolt was difficult. I believe I put a 
socket on it, secured the handle against the frame and hit the starter button.
 
Is there a better(safer) way?
 
 
Should I replace the chain and tensioner even if they seem ok?
 
Should I replace the oil seal even though it is not leaking now?
