Hi kids!
I've been off the Triumphs list for a while - my GT6+
has been running great... until this summer!
I installed a new head (and cleaned up under the
bonnet) and when I went to fire it up, eventually
figured out I have no spark... I haven't actually had
it runniung since fall, so the ignition system has not
proven itself since the past very cold winter here in
Michigan.
I've got the Crane electronic ignition which I
installed several years ago (5 or 6) and the test
procedures indicate that the black box has failed.
The question:
Do I step up to Pertronix or back to good ol' points
and condenser? Or is there something better out there
I should consider?
Thanks in advance for your enlightenment!
Cheers,
John Donohoe
