Ah yes, the "Love - Hate" relationship with our cars. I have a 1958 Triumph
TR3A that I finished doing up a few months ago. I guess I'm "Working out the
bugs" and have a problem to share with you all.
The problem is my clutch system.
Facts:
a.. The clutch started to get harder and harder to engage, like the pedal arm
was too tight and did not return as it should
b.. I disconnected the slave push rod and the bearing slides just fine, so no
problem this end
c.. I disconnected the clevis pin on the clutch M/C and the M/C push rod and
the pedal arm moved freely, so no problem here
d.. I backed off the slave cyl bleed nipple and brake fluid came out (off
course) but did not SQUIRT out as under pressure
I pushed on the clutch M/C push rod with all my might and could not push it at
all. I also tried to push the pedal more than I should and it did not move.
Now, could the problem be in the M/C (Stuck ??) or the slave cylinder ?
Thoughts and suggestions PLEASE !
Thanks, (again)
Pat
