Found some interesting TR-6 info....

...  The latest edition of Classic and Sports car ( Brit import to USA) has a 
spread on the TR-6.  It says the body was restyled by Karman.  Karman (as in 
the VW Karman Ghia ) is a German design/ body manufacturer.

I had always thought the TR-6 had a German look to it especially in the 
grille section.  Tight clean lines and a recesed grille.
