List,
I just drove home my "new" '79 Spitfire. It has 50K original miles, and runs
like a champ. The problem is....after it warms up, it won't disengage from
overdrive. After sitting for 20 min, it seems to disengage. When its cool,
or just driving around town, its OK. Only when its hot, it there a problem.
So....what is the wisdom of the list? What could be causing these strange
symptoms?
Aside from this erratic OD operation, the car is a complete joy to drive.
