TRactor motor rear seals

Has anyone experienced poor quality of replacement, scroll-type rear seals
for the TRactor motor ?

I've heard only that the mandrel dimensions given in the manual are wrong,
the seal area of the mandrel should be only 2.818" diameter, not 2.822" as
shown.  (Moss reportedly was selling a mandrel that was even bigger at
2.823").
