Hey Listers,
I've got two Triumph transmissions with A-Type Overdrives on them.
The place where the speedo cable attaches to them is different from one to
the other.
One of them seems correct in that the speedo connection is angled down
towards the right side of the car.
You could hook a long cable straight up to it for a TR-4 or put a angle
drive on there and get the small bulbous cover for a TR6.
The other overdrive has the speedometer cable attachment point pointing
straight left (from the driver's perspective)
Pretty much parallel to the rear axle.
Needless to say this makes hooking up the speed cable quite a trick.
Well actually that isn't quite accurate.
It's easy to hook up a speedo cable to it . .but then getting the
transmission tunnel cover to fit down over it is the hard part.
Anyone ever seen an A-type OD with the speedo cable attachment angled like
what I'm trying to describe?
