| Subject: | TR3 Engine Tear Down - What will I find next? |

I am still tearing down the old TR engine. No one has really been into
it since the 1970's. So today after removing the timing cover I found that
the last rebuilder had neglected to put in a timing chain tensioner. Also, I
am missing a link on one side of the timing chain. We also measured 17
thousandths float on the crank fore & aft.
I am amazed that this sturdy little engine has held together for so
long. It'll be nice to have a new engine.
