Should be possible on any TR3A. On earlier models, there is a dipstick in
the trans, which can be accessed through the rubber plug on the RH top of
the tunnel. On later cars, there is a plug in the side of the transmission
which can be reached from underneath the car. The correct oil level is at
the bottom of the plug opening.
Of course, it's possible your transmission was assembled from the wrong
parts and has neither the plug nor the dipstick ...
