I forwarded your email to Chuck Christ, who is the heart and soul of the
Spridgets list and lives in Eastern PA. He is also a character of biblical
proportions. He used to bill himself as the "World's Largest Sprite Driver",
but since having gotten a staple in his stomach has shed a few hundred pounds
down to 260#. His latest adventure has been shaving his hair and tattooing
the sprite logo on his back. Amoung other things, he races a vintage 2 cycle
Saab, and the spridgets list chipped in to pay his expenses to race at
Sebring. While down there, he offered to install a convertible top on Sprite
that I had just purchased long distance. The only catch was that he would
have to do it between Midnight and dawn, as he was racing and partying at
Sebring. I decided to send it to a shop, but I have no doubt that CHuck
would have done a first rate job, I just wasn't so sure about how the seller
would feel about having this work in his driveway at those hours. A really
good natured guy, who will go out of his way to help you if he can.
I terms of purchasing a dolly, U-Haul does offer dollies for sale at various
locations. I know the outlet in Albany, NY had a few for sale awhile ago.
Although I would think you find one closer to Harrisburg.
