TR's go right ahead, Im buying a Pioneer CD Deck, and I dont know what kind
of speakers to get, as there is NO MOUNTING ROOM in a TR6!!! (except for
that tiny little area up front, which is no good). Im thinking of going Two
6x9" speakers mounted in Boxes on the back shelf, then two 10" subs in the
trunk, tell me what you think, and any suggestions as to what you did, or
what you know works!

Graham

Having done this 5 years ago to my 4A and having installed Stereos in 4
TR6's since I have some experience. You mentioned subs in the trunk so you
must want a better sound system than most people. If you don't mind
cutting(or finding one thats been cut) the dash support to fit the standard
DIN opening for a CD player. There are some 2 shaft CD controller decks made
but quality and reliability are lacking. The kick panel area is the best
place for speakers(for sound quality) but we are cutting. The inner fenders
are dry but you can put baffles or build fiberglass enclosures like I did.
The back shelf is perfect for a sub box. I made mine with downward firing
10" woofers. The carpeted box looks like part of the car and with the top
down bass is still there. The trunk wall behind the gas tank is a good place
for amplifier mounting. Make a new panel and mount your amp(s) to that.

Apologies to those who feel the sound of Triumph is all you need
