Preperations for restoration of my TR3 body are finally comming
together. I got a call a week early from the company that is stripping
my body tub, and it's ready to pick up. When I got home I found boxes
with new sills and floor panels from TRF on the step.
I ended up taking the tub to a company in Eugene Oregon to have it
dipped. It's a small operation, very friendly, and very clean. It also
turned out to be $150 cheaper than the place that I was planning to take
it here in Portland. I am very curious to see how it turned out. My wife
predicted that I would be able to bring what was left home in a shoe
box. :)
My son an I spent last saturday doing the initial cleaning of the
chassis. Chipping the baked on gunk out of the center section that the
exhaust passes through was quite a job.
I haven't had this much fun with a project in a long time!
