I have no problems with a "wanted" post (and responses off-line), as long as
it's within reason. Ten posts a day for a week is not reasonable ...

Well, lack of posts doesn't necessarily mean lack of subscribers ...

Not only that, but they wait until the last possible second to outbid you,
so you can't return the favor.
I use eBay, and like it reasonably well. (OK, I admit it, I'm one of those
people that outbid you at the last second.) But difference is on eBay,
you're dealing with a used car (parts) dealer, while on the lists, you're
dealing with friends. There is a difference !
