Justin,
Chances are you are not getting a spark at the plugs, ie, an electrical
problem. Use a screwdriver (with plastic or wooden handle), remove a plug
wire and isert the tip of the screwdriver in to the end of the plug wire.
Hold it about 1/4 of an inch from a ground (like the bolt on the valve
cover) and crank the engine, if you see a spark as the engine turns over,
you either need new plugs or the problem is gas (filter, floats, gas pump -
but since you got nothing on starting fluid, it's probably electrical).
If there is no spark, just work your way back - it has to be either the
points, rotor, pigtail, connections to the coil, or the coil.
