Hello fellow listers.
To follow up Jack McGahey's email about Doug Ross I
thought I would provide the following information about
him. 3 years ago when I first got bitten by the Triumph
bug (badly I might add) Doug was the first person I spoke
to about the cars. I was searching for information on a
TR3A I was looking to purchase and found his name on the
internet and a little history about his efforts early in
the 50's and 60's racing them. He also lived near my home
in Charlotte NC.
Doug was a huge wealth of information to me both technical
and just plain great stories of his love for these cars.
He pointed me in the direction of Jim Tillman the founding
member of the Triumph Club of the Carolinas and he also
sent me a letter with pictures of his awesome Rosebud
racing inspired TR3A. He helped me envision what my car
could eventually aspire to be someday. He has been a good
friend and nobody can doubt his passion for the Triumph
cars.
For those of you on the list that wish to know a little
more about Doug Ross I found this link to get you
started. If you don't know him you would like him once
you met him the first time, please kepp him and his family
in your thoughts that we can see him behind the whell of
Rosebud once again!!
