Cameron, you haven't told us the most important bit, how fanatical are you
about originality ? The long door TR2s did have some unique engine
features, but TR3/A engines and transmissions are pretty common and are a
"drop in" replacement. (Within limits of course, the cuffs have to match the
collars <g>)
Another question is where are you located ? I'm sure many listers have
rebuildable units lying about, that would be available to such a worthy
project. But, crating and shipping can be a problem, so it might be better
to find something within driving range. I've got a "Le Mans" head on the
shelf that, while not strictly correct for your car, is close enough to take
the TR2 intake manifold and carbs. I've no use for it, so if you're
interested, make me an offer ... might have some other TR2-like parts lying
around too, like a bypass type oil filter head.
