Does anyone know of a suitable replacement for the scissor jack used in
later TR4's, 4A's and TR6's? I have a hard time paying the $125 that TRF
wants, plus the handle. Harbor Freights' is too big. So is
McMaster-Carr's. Auto Parts Supply is close, but is limited in weight.
Color of the jack is of little concern.

I just went to a local salvage yard.
I didn't have to even go out in the yard. . they had a pile of them on a shelf
inside the "office and showroom" part of the building.
There I had my choice of all sorts of jacks.
I ended up with one from a Ford Contour that looked pretty decent and even came
in a nice bag with a pocket for a lug wrench.
Was less than $10 if I remember.
