Paul, this isn't right. Sounds like your vertical links are distorted and
should be replaced. Normally the trunnions, even new ones, just spin on
with no effort at all. Could be bad trunnions, I guess.

Likewise not as it should be. They should literally flop around. One
possibility is that the vertical links are bent/distorted, which is
apparently a pretty common problem. Herman van den Akker wrote awhile back
of having to go through 5 different ones to find one with no runout.

Another possibility is that you have the later trunnions with the built-in
castor.
