Scott,
My Six has been resprayed and the Laurel paint match is just a little off to
the yellow side. It is a real nice paint job (base coat-clear coat) and if I
Mirror Glaze the heck out of it, she can be stunning in the right light. But
bright sunshine brings out the yellow and olive drab appears.

By the way on the subject of original paint colors and value. VTR Concours
Judges are instructed not to deduct for color if a Triumph is painted a
Triumph color correct for the year and model. So I could paint my Six, lets
say, Signal Red and still show it without suffering any deductions even
though it was originally code #55 Laurel.

I personally will offer the humble opinion that all Triumph's deserve to be
painted with a factory color and will be more valuable if done so. There are
so many good looking colors with cool sounding names to choose from. Just
make sure you have a chance to proof the color in the sunshine.

Respectfully Submitted,
Darrell Floyd
VTR Chief Judge
